Lowell has been preaching since June 5, 1977 and has lived in Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama.  He has also preached in numerous gospel meetings in several states and Canada including trips to Honduras and Zimbabwe, Africa. Lowell has traveled to Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey and Greece. He met Mary Lou Anderson, of Leitchfield, KY, at West End church of Christ in Bowling Green, KY, (1974) while attending Western Kentucky University (1974-79), and they were married in 1975.  Lowell and Mary Lou have 2 children, Daniel (married to Jennifer King) and Rebekah (married to Aaron Penner) both live in Athens, AL.  Lowell and Mary Lou are very proud grandparents of 4 grandchildren, Austin, Jackson, Karson and Savannah Penner.
